Got a call from an Indian man looking for Kenneth Bancroft (definitely not me) and gave an address that wasn’t mine either. The house number he said isn’t even in that postcode. I told him he had the wrong person but he just kept going on about some tax fraud stuff.

Non stop calls and when I pick up no one’s there, I’m so fed up with phone companies and those organisations thinking it’s okay to share my info, which is totally against the law. It’s about time we did something, like emailing all the ministers and MPs, or even ringing them and just hanging up!

I had a missive from this number pop up on my phone the other day. A woman, clearly sporting a hefty accent, attempted to bumble through my first and last name, but bless her, she utterly butchered it! I quickly hung up. Given that the call was from Manchester - my very own neck of the woods - I thought it might be above board, so I decided to do a bit of sleuthing. Turns out, my instincts were spot on; it was just a prank call! I'm convinced this is a scam.

Im already sorting out a ppi claim, they said its all done and id get my cheque soon. They asked loads of stuff like my full name and dob to send the cheque. Then they said theyd check again to see if i deserved anything, made me think they were from the company im dealing with. Watch out for scammers like this!

I received a rather peculiar call from a woman claiming to represent a PPI firm; she asked me whether she had my correct postcode. The one she mentioned was from my previous residence, which I vacated five years ago! She insisted that I was entitled to a refund on my PPI. Naturally, I refrained from providing her with my current postcode, firmly told her it sounded like a scam, and promptly hung up!
