They chat about PPI, debts, wills and even if you tell them to stop, they keep ringing. The calls often come with an Indian or Chinese accent. When you ask where exactly, they just say something like "Manchester City in England." Really dodgy stuff.

This number has rung me a couple of times, and also from another number claiming I owe money. Thing is, I don’t even have a credit card, so how can I possibly be in debt? I told the bloke on the phone, who had trouble saying my name, that he should be embarrassed for trying to scam folks and that he ought to find a proper job. There’s got to be a way to block these scammers, it’s really worrying, especially for older people.

I've had calls non stop from [###] somewhere in Manchester all day on my mobile. I've blocked em now. They ring so much you start thinking it's urgent. Turns out it's about claiming PPI or summat. Thing is, I already claimed mine ages ago, over a year back. Seems like the companies that helped first with the claim then sell your details to these places, hoping to make a quick buck. If you play along, they just take what you’re due and vanish. Proper cheeky stuff. Lol.

This PPI number has been botherin me, ringin like 3 times daily for a week now. It’s some financial outfit - but not one of those PPI CLAIM calls - no, they just wanna chat about a possible repayment. When I said I’d already sorted my PPI and asked them to stop calling, they told me to hang on. Couldn’t even say my name right and wouldn’t move forward until I confirmed it. Got a call today on my wife’s number, they asked for me using my full name and postcode. Then I spoke to a bloke called Alex about some PPI refund, saying £2500 was waiting from the government. He wanted my date of birth for a reference, but I didn’t give it to him. He kept pushing, saying he couldn’t move forward without it. I asked him to send me a letter from his company to my address instead, but he just started making excuses. I knew it was dodgy, so I told him he could keep the money if that’s how it was.
