Got a call about a 2017 road accident, they kept ringing me non stop. Told them I’d already been paid £2 million in compensation but they didn’t seem to care. Asked them nicely to stop bugging me, but the woman on the line said I was being rude. So I lost my temper and told her I’d be nearby and would shove my phone right up her backside. Then the call just dropped. Honestly, I felt way better after that.

Got a dodgy call about some accident that supposedly never happened... so I decided to play along and said this... Me: "Yeah, I was part of a nasty crash." Them: "Oh, right, can you explain what happened?" Me: "But you mentioned it showed up in your system? Seems you're pretty relaxed about this, but alright then..." Them: "Okay, go ahead." Me: "Well, it took place on a summer evening back in 2012 at Old Redding in Watford, a popular dogging spot I frequent, and I was right in the middle of that..." Them: *CLICK*... call just cuts off Pretty sure they won’t bother calling me back now!

SCAM ALERT - BE CAREFUL! Someone rang up asking for my missus, claiming there’d been a car crash. Neither of us have had any accidents in ages, at least not in the last few years. Don’t know where they got our contact from, maybe an old insurance enquiry or something, but we’ve stayed with the same insurer for over three years now, so it’s definitely not fresh info. Best just to hang up and ignore these dodgy calls!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Direct Advice Centre, asking for me by name about a car accident I apparently was in - which never happened. The number showed up as Manchester, but I doubt that’s real, so I’ve blocked it now. She said she pulled my info from the National Accident Database. I told her straight up it was a dodgy call and maybe she should consider quitting. I’m guessing they might’ve grabbed my details from an insurance quote I did ages ago?
