I just had a call from Hmes, the person barely spoke any English, not sure how they could be working in a role like that, definitely sounds like a scam to me.

It was pretty clear it was a scam since they didn’t even say my name. Still, I can see how it might scare people. HMRC never calls like that anyway. I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, but it hasn’t actually stopped the amount of fake calls I get.

I just got a voicemail with some dodgy message about a “serious lawsuit” against me. Didn’t even say who it was from! Clearly a scam, those creeps just want to scare people. Shameful how they prey on folks like that.

I got a voicemail saying it was HMRC, threatening me with big legal trouble if I didn’t ring them back. They didn’t even say my name though, which was a bit of a giveaway. Pretty clear scam trying to phish info. Legit HMRC stuff wouldn’t be like that, so best just to hang up and forget about it.
