I’ve received multiple calls from these individuals purporting to be from O2. It's rather suspicious, so I’ve decided to block their number since I’m not convinced of their legitimacy!

Some bloke rang claiming to be from 02, but I told him I wasn’t interested in any deals and he just hung up. Still, I keep getting missed calls from that very same Manchester number. I think I’ll just block it now. Whether it’s 02 or not, I’ve no interest in changing anything, I’m happy as I am. Saw some reviews too saying this is a dodgy number to pick up!

I received a call this evening from someone asserting they were representative of O2. When I picked up, they inquired if I was still using a pay as you go plan. I found it strange that if they truly were from O2, they'd already be aware of my current tariff. When I pointed this out, I was rather rudely labelled arrogant! Not exactly the best way to treat a customer, is it? A quick search on Google revealed that the number was flagged as suspicious. When I brought this up, they insisted I should disregard anything I read online! That was the last straw, and I ended the conversation.

Said they were calling from O2 - might just be a marketing group though. When I picked up, there was silence at first, like others have mentioned. Maybe it’s because they’re calling loads of numbers at once and it takes a bit before they connect you to an agent. I heard some people chatting in the background, so definitely a call centre. They seemed to think I was on pay-as-you-go, but I’m actually a contract customer. Since no one else lives with me, they didn’t have anything more to say.

I usually ignore calls from unknown numbers cos I just get a bad vibe from them. Thanks to this brilliant site, I’ve finally figured out what these dodgy callers are about. What baffles me is how they can keep switching numbers, hassling people and trying to rip them off without getting caught and locked up. Something really needs to be done to stop these persistent scam artists.

I received a call from what appeared to be a typical O2 number, but it quickly took a dodgy turn. They requested my name, phone number, expiry date of my card, and even the cardholder’s name along with all the digits from both the front and back of my card. It’s blatantly obvious this is a scam; no legitimate company would ever ask for such sensitive information over the phone. Stay vigilant, folks!

Received a call this afternoon from someone purporting to be with O2. He had a strong Mancunian twang and appeared to possess quite a bit of information regarding my phone habits. When I skirted around his queries about my satisfaction with my device and whether my tariff suited me, he seemed to lose interest and hung up. I was a bit worried that he might have been the real deal and that my line could potentially be suspended due to my low usage - hence my reason for popping onto this site to investigate further. This number kept calling non-stop from early morning till late at night. Like others said, I just ignored it at first, but today I picked up and there was no one there, just creepy silence! I’ve blocked it now, but who knows if they’ll start using a different number. I’m not gonna pick up any calls from Manchester again. If it’s something important, they can leave a message instead of bothering people who actually have proper jobs and stuff to do.
