Received a call from a number in Lanark. The conversation was rather muddled, mainly due to a heavy Chinese accent. However, I discerned something about "phone house," which leads me to suspect it might be linked to Carphone Warehouse, a few folks have mentioned similar experiences. I received a rather peculiar phone call today from someone purporting to be from a government department. This individual insisted that I had some outstanding unsecured debt and that I had been chosen for a special debt relief programme. He even went as far as to say they could trim down my supposed debt by a staggering 55%. Quite ironic, really, considering I don't have any debts to begin with!
