I haven’t the foggiest idea whose number this is, but it certainly racked up a hefty £5.30 on my recent bill for a mere 16 minutes! Neither of us would chat for that long on a landline, so it’s quite possible this is a scam of some sort.

I was after some banking information for an account linked to a Jersey area code, but the caller claimed to be situated in Dublin. Quite puzzling!
