Sounds like a telemarketer to me, he was trying to sell me kitchen gadgets. Not sure if it was a scam or a genuine call, but I wasn’t interested so I just said no thanks and he replied with okay and hung up.

Someone with a heavy accent and poor English called me, saying my "ppi compensation" had been accepted for £6000. I told them I never made any claim, and they just cut the call straight away.

I got a call from this number saying I had a £6200 PPI claim to sort. When I said no thanks and stopped talking, the caller brought up my WhatsApp profile pic, which freaked me out so I ended the call. After that, I started getting inappropriate messages on WhatsApp from the same person. He called again, but when my husband picked up, the caller just hung up. I've reported it to the police now.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, said his name was Daniel. When I messed around pretending to be an old lady, like 80 years, he started asking if I wanted to do really rude stuff, like if he could come in my mouth! Proper weird and gross.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be 'Daniel' from this UK PPI Claims company. He called me by name and said I'd won £6,300 from a successful claim. He started reciting my address without me saying anything, but then wanted me to confirm my birth date. I told him if he knows all my details, he should already have that info. When I asked him to tell me what his system showed for my birth date so I could confirm, he just hung up on me. Proper cheeky! PPI Claims ended yonks ago anyway. What a waste of time!

Some bloke with an Asian accent called saying I was owed about £6300 from a PPI claim I supposedly made in the last 5 years. I asked him if he knew the exact amount, then surely he should know which bank the money's coming from? All he kept repeating was "Barclays, ma'am!" like it was some kind of catchphrase.

Today, I received a rather dodgy call from a chap who sounded either Indian or Pakistani, asserting that I had a PPI refund of more than £6000 waiting for me. He brought up HSBC, which is strange since I don't even bank with them! The whole interaction felt off; his grasp of English was quite shaky, and he seemed rather anxious. I can’t help but think this is just a scam trying to pull a fast one.

Total scam ppi call. Some guy with an Indian/Pakistani accent said I’m due over £6000 in ppi. I told him I’d already checked for ppi before and asked which companies it was supposed to be from. He rattled off HSBC, Barclays, Halifax and a few others. When I pressed him to say exactly who owed me the money, he said Halifax. I told him I’ve never had an account with Halifax and he just ended the call. Definitely a scam, stay clear!

Keeps ringing me up every day with loads of voicemails, using various mobile numbers so I can't block them. I've never shown any interest in what they're selling, so no idea why they keep calling. Their approach feels really pushy and almost like harassment, so I've gone ahead and reported them.

He asked for my bank details to send the money, but i told him there’s no chance i’d give that out on the phone. Said if it was legit they’d post me a cheque instead. He actually knew my name and said my PPI claim had gone through. Clearly, just reading from a script. The accent sounded like it was from the Indian subcontinent. When I asked if he was calling from a call centre, he claimed he was working from home; a bit odd given the noise in the background. I also told him the strange thing was I never even made a PPI claim. Then I just blocked the number. But of course, these con companies use fake number generators, so they'll just ring again from another bogus number and keep going.
