I received a rather ridiculous call earlier today from someone posing as an officer from HMRC. This person began hurling threats about legal action and even had the audacity to accuse me of dodging taxes! While I could tell it was a scam, I must admit I was quite taken aback by the whole thing!

They claimed to be from the football pools, I told them I wasn’t bothered and asked them to take my number off their list. The bloke got really rude and pushy when I brought up the TPS. I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Someone ringed saying they were from the football pools and even asked for my partner by name then mentioned me too. We’ve never done the pools, never even watch football. Got a bit sketchy when I started asking questions and I could honestly hear them puffing on a cigarette in the background. They claimed they’d remove our number from their list. Yeah, right!
