I got a call from someone saying they were a loan officer asking if I had submitted a loan request. When I told him I'd already cancelled it and didn't want it anymore, he said they'd take £1k off and then just hung up. I looked up the number since it appeared to be local, and it turned out to belong to a timber and cladding business!
