Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from British Gas. When I said I wasn’t with them, he started arguing. Then he handed me over to his "supervisor" who swore that British Gas was our energy provider, even throwing out my business name and address. I told her the company operates from my home and the bills aren’t in the company’s name. She just hung up on me. No surprise there!

Someone called saying they were from British Gas and needed to send me some renewal papers. I hung up pretty quick but then got another call from a supervisor saying the same thing. I told them I'd call back, but before doing that, I looked up the number and read loads of reviews saying it was dodgy.

Honestly, you can tell they have no idea what they’re talking about. Shame that some poor person will probably get tricked by it though.

Got a call earlier, they wanted to speak with the manager and when I said that was me, they claimed to be from SSE about our electricity contract needing renewal soon (which it definitely doesn't). I told them I was busy and asked them to ring back another time. It gave me a dodgy vibe, and after checking online, it looks like it’s probably a scam.

Just like others have said, they keep saying they're from EON and that we've got contracts with them, which is totally not true. No matter how many times I told them I’m not with EON and never signed anything, they still said our supply would be stopped. I warned them I'd report them for scamming. Really bored of getting these annoying calls all the time.

Got a call from a woman saying she was with Eon, saying she needed to confirm our new contract since it was nearly up. Thing is, I already renewed a 4-year deal with British Gas back in January. She then messes up and says it’s not my gas but electricity 😂 Clearly, she hasn’t got a clue about energy companies. Definitely felt like a classic scam.

It’s clearly a con, so never share your info. Even after asking them repeatedly to stop, they just keep ringing. Now they’ve started showing up as an international number, though it isn’t really. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from Companies House. He said some company was fraudulently registered at our business address and that he’d had a complaint about it. He wanted details about our client’s trading address and phone number to "confirm" the registration was legit. I told him I couldn’t give that info out because of Data Protection rules. Also, the number he called from was a Liverpool line, but isn’t Companies House actually in Cardiff? Bit fishy if you ask me!
