13 hoursI keep getting calls and texts from 07913 177257 about card transactions I’ve never done - don’t even have those cards or accounts they’re talking about. Then they send texts telling me to ring 0330 059 0066 right away to halt the supposed payment. Total scam, I blocked the number and reported it straight away.1 dayClaimed it was Lloyd’s Bank and that there was a temp block on my account following an eBay purchase of over £400. Despite the block, the SMS said that if it was me I didn’t need to do a thing. Hang on! You’ve just said you’ve blocked my account. Naturally the text gave this number to call to discuss if it wasn’t me. Oh, and I don’t have a Lloyd’s Bank account.Lloyd ’ s Bank1 dayGot a text from +44 7914 614533 telling me they've put a freeze on an eBay order for £435.63, then wanted me to ring 0330 059 0066. Felt a bit off, so I didn't bother calling.2 daysGot a text from 07904076581 claiming to be Lloyds, saying they put a temporary freeze on an eBay payment of £435.65 and to call 033005900066 if I didn't know about it. Thing is, I don’t even have a Lloyds account, nor have I bought anything from eBay recently. Totally obvious scam, don’t fall for it.Lloyds3 daysGot a call from someone saying they were from Lloyds bank, saying they’d put a block on a payment for security reasons. I didn’t call the number they gave me. I rang Lloyds straight away using the number on their official website and it all turned out to be a fake alert. About 03 Numbers
A lot of organizations adopt 03 numbers instead of the pricier 08 numbers. For instance, a number of public sector entities have transitioned from 0845 numbers to 0345. The cost of calls is the same as calls to geographic numbers (01 or 02). Call charges depend on the time of the day, and most providers offer call packages that permit calls free of charge at specific times of the day. Mobile call costs differ according to the selected calling plan. Usually, these calls are included in free call packages.
