Got a call asking about who covers the BT bill. I said we weren’t interested and hung up straight away. Then, a week later, got the exact same call again. Just typical time wasters and dodgy folks, best not to give them any info at all.

Got a call the other day with nothing but silence on the other end. I’ve handed it over to Ofcom now - fingers crossed they start fining these annoying silent callers soon!

Someone called saying they were from BT wanting to do a review. I mentioned I’d only just signed a new contract with them, which honestly they should have been able to see. After that, the caller just hung up on me.

She didn’t bother to say her name but said she was calling from BT. Funny thing is, I’ve been in contact with BT quite a bit recently, so I know pretty well how they verify who they are. I’m not sure what she was trying to pull but when I asked her about her methods, her story just didn’t make sense. She suddenly changed her tune, saying she moved from BT to BT Business. Plus, she sounded a lot like someone who called me by mistake about 30 minutes before.

Got a call outta the blue from someone claiming to speak for BT, a sales woman. Was about broadband for a new place i’m getting built. Seemed legit at first, but then she started askin if i had a set budget, which made me think twice. Felt a bit off after that.

Somebody rang me saying they were with the “BT partner channel”, but when I asked which company they actually worked for, they just wouldn’t say and then cut me off. I’d steer clear of them.

this young woman with a sharp, clear voice rang me up claiming she was from BT doing a survey. she said i was getting ripped off on call charges since i was using some third party provider. honestly, if someone rings you unexpectedly like that, best to be sceptical and not trust them straight away.

someone called saying they were from bt, claiming they could enhance my bt service. when i asked about my current bt services, they mentioned two isdn lines. i told them those lines aren’t with bt. they said bt openreach looks after them. i said sure, but i don’t actually rent the lines through bt. then they said they could get me the best price on those lines. i asked how that would work if i don’t rent from bt directly. right after that, they just ended the call. defiantly felt like a scam!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from BT, offering assistance with my contract. It all seems rather dodgy, if you ask me.

Some bloke named Harry rang me up and helped sort out this nightmare BT business contract I was stuck in. He talked me through switching over to Clear Business with a much better deal. Proper saved me a load of hassle and money!
