Every month I get this annoying call from someone saying they know about a car accident I supposedly had back in 2018 and asking if I want to file a claim. Thing is, I've never been in any accident at all. It's really frustrating!

Got a call from some guy with a Scottish number, seemed a bit more clear-headed than usual, maybe he’s run out of cash for drink. Was going on about some sort of ‘accident’. He asked if I’d been to Scotland and joked about how everyone seems to be off their heads when driving there - said it’s full of drunk blokes up there. He got a bit frustrated and ended the call. If you see a 0141 number pop up, it’s probably another Scottish scammer trying their luck.

After seeing all these comments, I decided to block the number and just not pick up. This week alone, I’ve had loads of calls telling me I’d been in an accident! Quite annoying really.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a company called CMA about accident claims. I told them I’m on the TPS but they just kept pushing, asking if I’d been in a car crash. Feels like the same lot keep ringing, sometimes pretending to be auto assist. All the numbers have the same area code too. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Just got a ring from this number, said they was some Auto Assist lot? Started yabbering about a car accident I never even had! Reckoned I’d missed out on some injury payout, even though my car’s been fixed ages ago. Then they went all weird asking how bad my injuries were. I told them I’d died in the crash - proper dead! They laughed and joked about me being a ghost haunting them. Said cheers and hung up straight away. What a bizarre call!

I’ve had enough of these calls from ‘Auto Assist’ constantly popping up on my phone. They keep switching the number, always starting with 0141 769, so blocking one doesn’t help at all. I’ve been polite, telling them I never had an accident and asking nicely to be taken off their list. Sometimes they promise to stop, but other times some rude lady just hangs up on me which is really frustrating! I even tried giving a bit of attitude back to them, but the daily calls haven’t stopped. Next step is reporting every single number they use, hopefully that'll do the trick.

Just got a call from a dodgy firm calling themselves “auto assist”. Proper scam! I rang up the legit auto assist company and they said loads of people have been getting the same calls, and they’ve already told the police about it. If you get called, try asking for their official company registration number and watch them squirm. Complete muppets!

Scam alert related to motor accidents - just try claiming you were involved in one, then play along with the conversation a little. Eventually, add that you had such a fright that you, um, soiled yourself. Trust me, they won't dare reach out to you again after that!
