Somebody called claiming to be Jasmine from Auto Assist's legal team in Glasgow, saying there was a car accident I was linked to. Strange since I don't drive and never had a car. When I asked for details about the supposed crash - which is weird cause I hear about these “accidents” everywhere - the call got dropped. Clearly a scam, but annoyingly the Telephone Preference Service doesn’t help much and it feels like these firms just get away with it without real consequences.

This number kicked off as 0141-769-0007 trying the old energy supplier scam, but it seems like they've moved on now to the classic "historic accident claim" scam. They keep updating their numbers almost every few days, and today's one is 0141-769-0212.

Today, I received a call from a rather amiable lady using this number, inquiring about an incident I was involved in a few years back. She proposed her assistance with a claim for my accident and assured me I could potentially gain quite a bit from it. Seems like a classic scam to me!
