Got a call from a woman with a typical Indian/Asian accent about some tiny car accident from 2 years back. I told her I’ve never been in any crash, to quit calling me, find a proper job, and stop bothering folks. Blocked her straight away.

Someone called claiming to be from TMA, an accident firm. Their address was 9 Blairtummock Place, Panorama Business Village, Old Queenslie Industrial Estate, Glasgow, G33 4EN. Names mentioned included Desmond Gerard BRADSHAW as Director, John Aitken DOUGALL, and Roger James TOPPING, who are listed on 14 company roles.

Got a call from some road accident scammer who already knew my name. They kept pushing even though I was polite and told them to take me off their list. The caller was super rude and cheeky - why aren’t these people stopped? I’ve blocked the number now.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with an insurance firm regarding a minor mishap I supposedly had. This is utterly false, as I haven’t been involved in any accident at all. They persisted despite my refusals, so ultimately, I had to hang up on him.

I’m sick of getting calls from the same lot but using different numbers. I’ve blocked around 30 now. Luckily my phone’s set so it doesn’t ring for unknown callers, just shows a missed call. It really feels like harassment, and it’s about time the phone companies or the government did something to stop these scammers from abusing the phone system.

I received a call from a Glasgow number purporting to be from Auto Assist, but I can't find any trace of this company online, which raises my suspicions. They insisted that there's some cash available for me regarding a car accident, and they wanted me to share specifics about the incident before they'd send a cheque. I told them to just send the cheque over, and they became quite irate, stating that unless I divulged my details, the money wouldn't be forthcoming. It's clear as day that this is a scam.

The caller knew my name and said they were ringing about that incident I was part of and that my claim had been settled. I just said thanks and ended the call, then blocked the number. I've been getting loads of calls from different 0141 numbers recently.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2’s legal team, but they hung up right away. Just blocked the number.

This company has rung me loads of times (like 30+!), always using different numbers but they all begin with 0141 769. I check them on here then block straight away. They just keep on calling. I reckon they’re scammers trying to either trick me or just confirm my number is still working. Since I live in Scotland, the complaint process isn’t the same as in England (no online complaints), and bothering the police feels like wasting their time when there’s proper emergencies. I’ll just keep blocking and not pick up. Feels like harassment to me! Rant done.

Got a call about some accident I supposedly had, and he even knew my name and stuff. When I tried to talk, he just kept going back to his script, telling me to pay attention. I nicely told him to send me a letter instead since my insurance's handling things, then I ended the call. Not even half a minute later, his manager rings me, apparently had been eavesdropping on the call!!!! What a cheeky bloke!!!

I've gotten a couple of calls from unknown numbers recently. Whenever I answer, there’s complete silence, then the call just drops. One time, I actually heard breathing before they said hello and then just hung up on me. It's really strange, and I've noticed a bunch of these calls coming from different numbers.
