Someone rang me up and somehow already had my first name. They started asking about a car crash that I never had, then switched to asking if a family member was involved in an accident. This feels like something illegal to me, and I don’t understand why the authorities don’t track these people down and lock them up. If they don’t, no one will want to work in places like that again.

Got a call from someone who already knew my name. When I asked who it was, they claimed to be from the Legal Dept regarding a car accident I supposedly had. I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from a woman who sounded like she had a Ukrainian accent, speaking really quickly and asking loads of leading questions. She started by saying she's from some company and mentioned I'd supposedly been in a car crash in the last couple of years, and that I could still claim compensation or something along those lines. She rushed through it and kept throwing in "that's right, isn't it?" to push me to agree. When I challenged her, she claimed she was calling from Glasgow and that they get all their info on accidents from the UKAIG, and if anything’s wrong, they just update their records. Yeah, sure, right... Honestly, I can't believe a word of it. But I do wonder how many folks end up handing over their info and falling victim to a scam like this.

About two hours ago, I noticed a missed call from this number, and I also got one from a nearly identical number just before Christmas. They never leave a voicemail which is a bit suspicious. Luckily, I’ve never had any car accidents, so I’m just gonna block these spammy calls now. Cheers for keeping this info updated!

I got a call from someone saying it was about a car crash I’d supposedly been involved in, something about a UKIG report. I asked them what exactly the report was and who they were, and then they just ended the call. At first, they said they were from “O2 Assess” or something like that.

I tried ringing this number back but it just went to voicemail. Then I searched it on https://who-calls.me.uk/phone/01417690197 and discovered it’s from Garden Solutions by Design. They’ve been doing custom garden landscaping since 1994 and are part of Cube 1994 Ltd. Honestly, I don’t want any calls from them, so I’ve just blocked the number. Sorted.
