Got one of those car crash scam calls the other day. Blocking the number won’t help since they always switch up the last digits, so it’s like a brand new number each time. Also, signing up for the TPS won’t stop these dodgy calls ‘cause these scammers don’t bother with it at all. Honestly, just avoid picking up if an 0141 number pops up. Bit harsh on Glaswegians, but better safe than sorry.

Got a call from some guy who then put me through to his manager. They kept going on about a crash I supposedly had and something about compensation. I told them to send the documents to me or my broker but was told it wasn’t doable. I just said if you can’t send it, then no worries, and ended the call.

I heard a bunch of voices in the background when I answered, which irritated me cause these calls keep coming no matter what time it is. I had to say hello pretty loudly just to get them to stop. I’ve gone ahead and blocked their number now. Seems like they ring to check if the number’s active before trying to con you or use your phone to steal your account info. Watch out for these scammers!

These lot keep ringing about accident claims, they even knew my name! I told the guy I’d already had loads of calls from a Glasgow number and asked him again to stop calling me. They’re at it nearly every day now. Sounded polite, but honestly, I wanted to tell him to find a real job. What annoys me most is my mobile provider, EE - even though I’ve blocked the numbers and registered with TPS, these annoying calls still slip past. So fed up with it all!

Someone rang me saying they were from the AA’s legal team about some third party accident. I told them I don’t even own a car, so what are they talking about? Then they asked if it could be a relative’s car, but how can that affect me when I don’t drive or have any connection to a vehicle? I was quite firm with them and they soon gave up. Don’t fall for these dodgy calls! The number started with a Glasgow area code, which is why I even picked up.
