Got a call from someone asking for my name and where I live, then they started saying I’d been in a car crash. They even wanted my car’s registration number, but when I said I don’t even drive, they just cut me off. Proper annoying!

As soon as I picked up, they hung up on me. Later I looked up the number and saw that it’s linked to a scam about car accidents. Chucked it straight onto my blocked numbers - don’t want any of those scammers bothering me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Auto Assist. She spoke really fast, so I asked her to spell her name. She said it was Katie, but when I asked her to spell it, she just said K T. Then she just ended the call.

Over the past few weeks, these folks have been ringing me non-stop. I kept telling them I’m only driving a company car and asked them to take me off their list, but they just wouldn’t quit. I decided to humour them and remarked how awful it was that so many harmless people were getting caught up in it. After that, the caller just hung up. But of course, they're back at it again now. Just annoying!

Some bloke rang up saying I’d supposedly been in an accident worth over £400 in the last two years, which frankly isn’t much for insurance companies. When I asked if it was for real, I joked that I wasn’t sure cos I might have amnesia or something! He just chuckled and then ended the call. Just another pointless call trying to fish for my personal details!
