Got a call from someone saying they were from Claims Direct, linked to the Motor Insurance Bureau. They said they work from home in George Square, Glasgow but their office is on Church Street. When I told them not to call because I'm on the TPS and they can't cold call or bother people, they weren’t too pleased. They said sorry and ended the call. Number was 01417393436.

Received a call from someone claiming they could assist me regarding a small car mishap I supposedly experienced not long ago. The trouble is, there was no accident at all!

Most likely because it’s all made up. It’s mad how even with everything going on, these scamming types are out here still trying to rip folks off!

So, these calls have been coming from Claims Direct, saying they got my info from the Motor Insurance Bureau or something. They’ve called me twice in the past few days. I asked the guy to send me all the details he had about my supposed ‘accident’. I warned him if I got another call, I’d report the number. I’ve blocked them now, but I’m sure they’ll just ring from another number!

Somebody rang me saying there was a car accident I was involved in, he said it happened in March. I asked where it was and he gave my old address in Scotland, but I haven't lived there for 4 years. When I pointed this out and called him a scammer, he got really mad, told me to mind my language, then just hung up on me.
