I was getting loads of calls from this number, I’ve got relatives in Scotland so I didn’t block it at first, but they never left a message and kept ringing all day. After seeing what others have said here, I’ve finally blocked it.

Just like others have said, they got some details right but had the address all wrong, then messed up the birthdate and surname too. When I said I wasnt sure, they hung up immediately. Best to just block and not answer.

I rang back just messing about, they said they were from the Assessment Department at L&G, Aviva and the likes. I mentioned I had a few L&G policies and asked which one they were ringing about. They couldn’t give me an answer. I told them the call just proved their dodgy intentions and ended it there.

I received a call from someone purporting to represent my pension provider. When I hesitated to share any personal information, they abruptly turned disrespectful. After I requested that they send me the information in writing, they hung up. When I attempted to call back, a gentleman, who claimed to be the supervisor, initially seemed professional, but as I explained the situation, his tone quickly soured. It was rather alarming; his voice shifted to something less familiar and more aggressive, almost as if he were putting on a different persona!

Got a call from someone called Anna, English wasn’t her first language, ringing from a Glasgow number about my life insurance. Got a call from these lot, they seemed to have my info already. While talking, I quickly looked up their number online and saw others had left warnings. They wanted me to fetch my life insurance papers, but I told them I wasn’t home and agreed they'd call back at 5.30. They won’t be getting through though, I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from this bloke, and when I rang back, he sounded all annoyed and kept sighing. He started going on about "Aviva and legal and general life insurance policy". I've had this number ring me multiple times, and when I tried to return the call to discover who it was, I got a mouthful of abuse instead. They’re supposedly flogging life insurance and say they're associated with L&G and Scottish Widows. It really gives off a vibe that they might be operating from South Africa. No clue how they stumbled upon my details. It's utterly disgraceful - seems like a complete scam to me. If you receive a call from them, just ignore it!

Then he just talked over me so I just ended the call. Proper rude. I really wanna know how they even got my info. Total wankers.

Just got a call from this number. The guy claimed to be from the review team at Legal & General insurance and said they were offering discounts to current customers. I asked who he really was and told him if I wanted to check my insurance, I’d contact them myself. He got annoyed, kept interrupting me and blurted out something about Covid causing the insurance reviews to be handed over to them. Sounded really dodgy. He wouldn’t let me get a word in and was practically shouting, so I just hung up. Total scam. Number blocked now.

This was obviously a scam trying to get my personal info. The caller claimed it was about an insurance review with Legal & General from April that was interrupted because of COVID-19. They said I was owed a refund. They had my name and an old address, but the date of birth they gave was wrong. When I mentioned the DOB was right, they quickly asked me to verify it again - clearly they didn’t have the right details. I ended the call straight away.

Some bloke called saying he was David Walker from the life review team at Aviva, Legal & General, and Scottish Widows. He had my old address, full name, phone number, and dob. He kept pushing for my payment info to lower my life insurance costs. I told him I don’t pay anything, then he just hung up. When I rang back, the woman on the line acted like she didn’t get what I was saying, said she never spoke to me and kept asking for other personal info - which I refused to give. I’ve already reported it to Aviva’s fraud department.

Got a call from an Asian woman doing some sort of survey, asking loads of questions but I could barely make out what she was saying. She asked if I owned the house, what brand my TV was, and whether I had a dishwasher - and what brand that was. The weird bit was she already knew my postcode and address, which honestly made me feel a bit uneasy.
