It seems to me that these individuals are under pressure to contact a certain number of folks. I picked up the phone… mainly due to two reasons: A) my elderly father, who is quite frail and was very close to passing away last year, received a call from the support team of his retirement home, and B) I’ve just launched my own venture. I could hear a lot of commotion in the background. Instead of engaging, I stayed silent, and then the fool on the other end commenced a made-up chat as if I was actually conversing with them! Absolute muppets! These people really are at the bottom of the barrel! It’s quite harmful!

I received a rather unpleasant call from someone who was quite abrasive. They pretended to be a relative and requested to chat with my elderly mother. When I pressed for their identity, their response was simply, "sod off," before promptly ending the conversation. Quite shocking behaviour, really!

When I pressed him for details about his identity and the company, Evergreen, he openly muttered something derogatory about me to someone else nearby! My spouse encountered a remarkably similar situation. The call commenced with the assurance, "We're not trying to sell you anything." Then, oddly enough, we received a return call from the same individual using a withheld number. It felt quite intrusive, as they attempted to reach us four times within merely ten minutes.
