Just got a call from 01415637817. Seems like the 0141 area code is pretty busy with these calls today, this is the second different number I've had ring me with that prefix. I'm guessing it's another one of those dodgy Microsoft scams. Watch out, these scammers are really persistent right now.

I got a call from 01415726092 but the line was all crackly and kept breaking up. The person was saying something about my Amazon credit card being charged £500, which sounded really fishy to me.

This morning my landline rang and it was a lady claiming to be from British Gas. She said she needed to inform me about some new fees, especially on electricity. I told her to send the details by e-mail instead, so she asked for my e-mail address. I just told her British Gas already had it, so she should be able to send it there. I said I was busy and ended the call. Of course, I never got any e-mail from them. The number she called from was 01415301426.

This morning, my landline rang, and a lady said she was with British Gas, wanting to explain some new fees. She then switched to talking about extra electricity costs. I said I’d prefer it if she sent me the details by e-mail, so she asked for my e-mail address. I told her British Gas already has it and she should know that. I said I was tied up and ended the call. Obviously, no e-mail has come through since.

I wasn’t in when this number 01415 ### tried ringing me around five times on Monday ## February. I reckon it’s connected to a couple of emails I got from a contact pretending to be someone I know, asking me to purchase a £### Amazon gaming voucher for their daughter’s wedding anniversary, promising to pay me back afterwards. It all seemed really dodgy, so I didn’t respond to it at all. Since I wasn’t around, I just ignored the calls too.

Got a call from someone saying it was about a government heating grant, but they didn’t even introduce themselves properly and jumped into asking personal stuff right away. I just ended the call. Then they rang back and started shouting at me, which was pretty shocking. So I went ahead and blocked the number. Still can’t tell if it was for real or just a scam.

I got a call from 01415### on 8/###/### at about 9.### in the morning. This makes the fourth time this week the same number has buzzed me, claiming to be Virgin Media. The previous three calls all came through between around noon and 1pm, but on separate days. Every time I asked them to prove who they were by giving my customer number, they just cut off the call straight away.
