I got a text from 0141 010 00006 saying UPS tried to deliver a parcel but couldn’t leave it in a safe spot, so they were sending it back. Thing is, I wasn’t expecting any delivery at all, so I just ignored the message.

Got a call from 855-709-2265 saying something about $80.50 payment to AT&T being declined. The message told me to reach out to the Help Desk. It showed PNCBank as the caller and had an ID number 1018155492. Felt a bit fishy, so I didn’t take any chances.

I’ve got loads of these calls too, and for a moment I thought it might be a genuine job offer, but it just felt too good to be real. They sent me a cheque which I’m almost certain is bogus. I reckon these lot are the same scam artists behind the whole Walmart secret shopper thing. Names like Bruce Johnson and Demetrius Grace ring a bell, could even be swapped around. The mail comes to Vernon E. Garcia INC., but the cheque’s from Karen Kane Insurance Solutions NW Inc. Seems fishy to me.
