Lately I’ve been getting texts saying I’ve won some sort of Starbucks voucher, which I’m sure is a load of rubbish. It’s like every single day a different prize pops up, but they just switch the last couple of digits of the number. Can’t figure out how I ended up on their list or how to stop this from happening. Anyone got any ideas?

Got a call from First Horizon Bank but I don’t even have an account with them. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone saying they were AT&T saying my payment didn't go through. I looked up my account and saw I had just paid the bill via my bank, and it showed as successful.

Got a message claiming to be from Visa about some "security verification." It mentioned J.PM0RGAN and gave two phone numbers: (201) 252-4788 and (708) 716-8117, saying to call them for help. Seems dodgy to me, like a scam trying to trick folks. Wouldnt bother calling those numbers.

On 15th November 2019, I got a text supposedly from Netflix saying my payment hadn’t gone through.

Got this dodgy message trying to lure me into giving away my credit union info. Complete rubbish, don’t fall for it!

Got a message with my name and address right there in the text. I clicked the link on my desktop and it claimed I was about to get approved for a loan on a second-hand vehicle. Well, I actually run a car dealership!

They told me there was some cash from Western Union ready for me and sent a link to click, haha. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

I just got a text that said something like FRM:ido and SUBJ:% then there was this weird message part with SMS ! and a link that looked like valid-k97373.xxx.9834h.xyz. The "valid..." bit was underlined like a clickable link. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a dodgy message claiming to be from Wells Fargo saying "Your Crucial Attention Is Needed," each word capitalised like that. It included a link which honestly, I wouldn’t go near with a bargepole. If there was really some issue with your bank account, a genuine Wells Fargo rep would contact you directly, and definitely from a real phone number you could recognise. Don’t fall for it!
