This number messaged me out of the blue, saying I had 30 Bitcoins waiting for me. They sent a link and some login details, and I thought it was a bit dodgy. But when I checked, I was shocked to see I could actually transfer £4 into my old Bitcoin wallet. Quite unexpected!

At first, the message started with the name of someone I know. It included a link too, but I wasn't about to tap on it. I just saved the number and got rid of the message straight away.

Yesterday I received a text supposedly from my local bank saying there was an issue with my card, encouraging me to click a link that didn’t even mention the bank's name - straight to the bin it went, because no genuine bank would ask like that. Today, the same number sent another message but this time advertising a string of naked women - deleted right away too. I reported both messages to ATT and flagged the first one with the bank as well. Honestly, when is all this going to end???

Got a message from this number saying: From Morgan-Notice, Subject: Account suspended due to privacy breach, ID number included. The text says verification is needed and tells me to visit http://privacy-violation.ID. Feels dodgy to me.

Just got a suspicious text from some strange number:

It had a dodgy link that looked like tvnetflixus-reconnect with a load of gibberish like thevettenet or something. The funny thing is, I was using Netflix right then and it definitely wasn’t asking me to fix any payment or reconnect anything. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to catch people out.

Got a message from this number a moment ago. The link directs you to a page pretending to be the Bank of America login, basically trying to snatch your login details. Got a weird text claiming I had to verify my Wells Fargo account and it had a link to some IP address. I didn’t tap the link and instead rang up the bank straight away. They told me it was just a phishing scam trying to steal info. Definitely dodged a bullet there.

I was trying to sell my car on Craigslist when I got a message from someone called Mary Williams. They sent me a cheque for the car, and after I deposited it, they arranged for a person to come and pick up the vehicle. Felt a bit suspicious to me!

**BEWARE OF SCAM** I was trying to buy something on Craigslist, but the person said they were out of state and couldn't meet up. They asked for my details, like my name and address, claiming they’d send me a cashier’s cheque with $50 extra, and then wanted me to pay the rest to some movers they supposedly hired. Funny thing, I had a call from the same number 141-010-0009 just the day before.

I got a text saying I'd apparently won $500,000 back in 2018 from CNN? The message had a weird email to reply to and a reference number. Thought it was a total joke or some scam trying to catch silly folk. Definitely not legit!
