I haven't the foggiest who this might be! They've rung me numerous times, so it compelled me to search the number online, and lo and behold, I stumbled upon only unfavourable feedback! Relieved I chose not to pick up!

Someone calling claiming they were from EE, saying my phone was ready for an upgrade. But then they went on asking what phone I had, what I wanted, and if I had other phones linked to my account. If they really knew, why bother asking all that? Definitely a spam call, so blocked them.

Loads of calls from this and alike numbers. I rang them back during work and turns out it’s some company called EMCAS, they say they’re experts in financial claims like PPI and mis-sold loans. Honestly, just a bunch of wankers cold calling.

this number keeps bothering people and the folks on the other end are really nasty. two managers are supposed to be in charge of the call centre but it’s nowhere near the main office of these scammers. when i asked to talk to someone higher up, it was just impossible. they got caught back in 2014 for making unsolicited calls, and they’re still at it. i was told over the phone that they buy the info, which to me sounds like fraud since i never gave them my details at all.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Emcas, had an Exeter number. Said they worked with folks wrongly sold PPI and pensions. They asked for me by my full name and wanted to confirm I was the one. I asked what it was regarding but they said they couldn’t say anything unless I confirmed my identity, citing data protection rules. I kept asking for details and could tell she was getting a bit flustered. Reckon they won’t be calling me again.
