Had a really pushy person ring me up who refused to say what the call was about. There was zero friendliness in his tone. Calling him just a scammer doesn’t feel right - seemed more like he was trying to bully me. Unfortunately, my android won’t let me block calls, only texts, so looks like I’ll have to get a new phone that can block numbers for Christmas. This happened around 2:45pm on Monday 18th December 2017.

Had pretty much the same thing happen to me. The bloke asked me to say who I was first. I asked him what the call was about. He then said he couldn’t tell me unless I confirmed who I was. I told him again that I wanted to know the reason for the call before saying anything else. He just said “We could keep going like this forever so I’ll let you get on with it.” Clearly just some nuisance, so I'll block the number and advise anyone else getting this kind of call to do likewise.

PPI scammers are a nightmare! If you’ve got a mobile, you can get AVG for free and it helps block loads of those annoying calls. And if you use Sky for your landline, they’ve got a blocking service too. Really helps stop the hassle.
