Yesterday, at precisely 11:34 in the morning, I got a call from this number. When I returned the call, an automated voice informed me they were known as Local Phone. I've swiftly BLOCKED and DELETED them from my contacts!

I’ve been receiving incessant nuisance calls from this number, along with another one, 02034956401. I would strongly advise against picking up when they ring; it’s a total scam! The 0203 number seems to be linked to a PO Box, and the other one is an automated voice from the US that merrily announces it’s “busy” before disconnecting abruptly. I can’t shake the feeling that it’s all dodgy. Could someone kindly alleviate my worries and advise if it's wise to block both these numbers? Many thanks in advance! I managed to trace it back on Facebook to a particular business, but the last name is too lengthy to type out. Just thought I’d share that piece of info - apparently, it’s connected to someone Nigerian.

I had a rather dubious phone call purportedly from Carphone Warehouse using this number. They wanted me to ring back on 02035146961 (which has also been flagged). The aim was to sell me a new mobile phone contract. After a few probing queries on my part, it became abundantly clear this was a fraudulent scheme, at which point they abruptly ended the call. Initially, I was connected to a woman with an Indian accent, who then transferred me to an aggressive man with a similar accent. When I posed some tough questions, he raised his voice considerably. He repeatedly pressed for my banking information and falsely claimed that the police were listening in on the conversation, which supposedly prevented him from pulling a fast one on me. Having served as a police officer for 20 years, I recognised this as complete nonsense. I informed him of my background, and he swiftly hung up. Neither of the numbers could be reached again.

Got a call from a guy with a strong Indian accent saying he was from my mobile provider, Virgin (which is easy to check, honestly). He went on about some special deal on new phones, maybe an iPhone, but I could barely hear what he was saying. Got a call from this number sayin it was Currys callin with some deal on the iPhone 13 pro max. I was tied up, so asked him to ring me later. Then he rang back from a London landline.
