Got a call from someone claiming to be from Curry’s car phone warehouse, said they wanted to switch my iPhone plan with EE. I pretended to go along since I suspected it was dodgy. He asked for my email, so I gave him a made-up one. That didn’t sit right with him and he asked for another email, but I couldn’t be bothered. Then he gave me a number to ring back. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

When I inquired about his name after he presented me with a mobile number, he told me it was “Jack.” Honestly, he didn’t strike me as a Jack at all. Upon pressing him about his location and clarifying that I had every right to ask, given my experience managing call centres, the conversation ended abruptly as he disconnected the call.
