I received a call from someone who was pretending to be from HMRC, claiming there was a tax evasion issue linked to my name. They instructed me to press 1 to speak with my assigned case officer.

Just received a dodgy call claiming to be from HMRC, saying there’s some sort of fraud case linked to my name. Quite frankly, it’s unnerving!

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, offering to knock 40% off my bill. The voice sounded like it was from some call centre, and the woman speaking wasn’t a native English speaker. I did get a couple of texts from O2 around the same time - one with a code, another about a one-time verification or something. I told her I wasn’t into it and she just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Currys PC World, said there was a massive 40% discount on mobile phones. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.
