Some bloke rang saying he was from Microsoft about my PC. I told him straight up I don’t deal with scams, then I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Years ago, I kept getting calls from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, wanting to fix my computer or something. It’s just ridiculous that these scammers are still allowed to hassle people like this. What’s the point of putting up with folks pretending to be from legit companies?

For sure, it’s a total con.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. They said my license had been involved in scams across a few countries and wanted to connect online to prove where my license info had been used. I wasn’t having it and just hung up.

The call started with a woman asking if I was Asian, then she just hung up right after. If they don’t even know who they’re ringing, it’s obvious it’s a scam.

I answered the phone quietly and could catch the noise of a busy call centre in the background. The person on the other end stayed silent and then just ended the call. Seems like a scam to me, probably just some annoying nuisance.

A caller purporting to be from Microsoft rang me up. Despite my clear insistence that I didn’t possess a computer, they chose to hang up after a while. Quite the nuisance, really!

Got a call from someone claiming they were from Sky, saying my broadband speed wasn’t what I was paying for. A bit different from the usual calls I get pretending to be my bank’s security or the ones telling me my internet’s been hacked. Quite the change!

Got loads of calls from this number, like six in a row right after I hung up. The number didn’t show so I didn’t pick up. After checking online, looks like it’s from India and just another dodgy scam call centre. I’ve blocked the number now.

Totally a con - just another nasty cold call scam.

They kept ringing me loads of times during the day but finally gave up when I started asking loads of questions and confused them. If you don’t want to deal with it, just keep asking stuff till they drop or simply block the number if you’re tied up.

So, I reckon it was Virgin Media since my internet was playing up. The bloke on the phone said his name was David, but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t, and he sounded like he was from an Asian background or something.

Got a call from 01339358082 claiming to be my bank, saying there’s suspicious activity on my account and over £1,000 is about to be taken out unless I work with them. Sounds like a scam, maybe from India or Pakistan. They even mentioned Amazon at some point. Don’t fall for it!

01339358082 - We got a call from someone with an Asian accent who was rather scary, saying our laptop had been "invaded" with porn and drug stuff, and that only they could fix it. We told her if she really believed that, she should call the police and we'd back them up. She then got quite shouty, angry that we weren't taking their help. We stayed calm but made it clear we thought it was a scam. These people are criminals, no doubt, but you get the feeling some poor souls are forced to make these calls hoping to get paid. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from a number with an Asian accent, sounded like it was from some call centre. This bloke started yammering on about issues with my internet. Lucky for him though, I’m in IT and networking, so I just told him he was talking rubbish and that his spiel was an insult to anyone’s intelligence. Clear as day, total scam trying to con the unsuspecting.

Right, so I’m getting calls from this dodgy number claiming to be Caroline or whatever. Just to be clear, Radio Caroline has nothing to do with these creepy scams from Asia. But honestly, it’s kinda making me remember those good old days listening to Radio Caroline. Proper nostalgia trip! Scammers seriously need to find something better to do with their time and stop bothering people.

I usually don’t pick up if the number’s not saved, so I let it ring through to voicemail. The caller only said “Hello, hello” once I checked the message, then hung up. Seeing what others have said here, it’s probably one of those scam calls.
