Just like everyone else here, been getting tons of calls, had about 9 yesterday and already 3 today. They claim they’re from Sky and say there’s a problem with my broadband or wifi, then want me to grab my laptop. I mess with them sometimes, saying I don’t own a laptop, only a typewriter, or that I’m with Virgin, not Sky. They usually hang up straight away. Still, they keep ringing back. Best thing is just to hang up and don’t bother with them.

Here we are at half two in the afternoon, and they’ve already tried to reach me twice today. I promptly said, “No, you may not.” I insisted they tell me who they were and what the purpose of their call was, or I’d cut the conversation short. Can you believe it? They hung up on me! My missus rang the number back and some bloke answered talking about market research. She just hung up straight away. I had one of those calls a while ago and got drawn into their spiel. For weeks afterwards I got literally loads of sales calls and emails, all starting with something like, "From a recent phone survey we noticed…" I ended up getting proper annoyed and was rude a few times when they just kept pushing their script and wouldn’t take “no thanks, not interested” as an answer. At one point my blocked numbers list was twice as long as my actual contacts.
