There was a guy with a heavy accent sounding quite annoyed when i asked him to speak slower and repeat himself. i just wanted to find out who it was and tell them i wasnt interested. i also told him to stop calling as i kept getting calls constantly.

I had a rather tedious time on the phone with them. Being stuck in isolation due to COVID-19 can really stretch one's patience! It was some sort of survey, seemingly designed to nudge folks into accepting calls from companies they’d obviously picked out in advance, like energy providers among others. When they asked about Scottish Power, I made it clear I was already a customer. Then, when National Geographic came up, I let them know I wasn't a fan of their magazine either. It seems they got the drift quite quickly!

It's a bit unsettling that the call seemed to originate from my own locality. Are they truly capable of masking their numbers to appear local now? It feels quite unfair, especially since I'm anticipating calls from local contacts. When I answered, he didn’t offer me a chance to opt out initially; he just launched straight into his spiel. I had to cut him off, saying, “I’m quite busy at work and need to opt out of this." To which he replied, "Alright, alright," before abruptly ending the call.
