This was almost certainly a call centre, no doubt. The caller claimed to be from EE, but since I’ve never had any contract with them, I told him I don’t take unsolicited calls and ended the call. Seeing others mention Carphone Warehouse makes me think it’s probably another scam.

They told me they’d send a code via text, but the message said not to share the code with anyone. I figured if the caller had that code, they could probably get into my phone account and then maybe my bank info too. So, I just ended the call straight away.

I don’t really know, the number showed Fort Augusta but the call ended as soon as I picked up. It was on my cell, and I reckon it might’ve been a scam. Getting calls that just cut off or stay quiet feels like harassment to me.

I called this number and there was complete silence, no response at all, which felt really strange. When I checked, it showed it was from Scotland, but that’s not really correct. Apparently, this number is fake. There’s a site that can make any phone number look like it’s from Fort Augustus, Scotland.
