Got calls from an auto-dialler claiming to be from Scottish Power. I blocked the number but looking at my call log, they’re still ringing me! When you call them back, there’s an option on their voicemail to take your number off their marketing list. They say it can take up to 2 days to take effect.

Got a recorded message from a woman saying loads of cash was taken from my account or sent abroad, and I had to press a number to fix it. Pretty sure the ones needing fixing are them! Lucky I googled the number first and saw I wasn’t the only one getting annoyed by this.

Absolute nightmare, got calls 4 or 5 times in just a couple of days while I was working, saying they were from Scottish Power. The last bloke was proper rude, basically yelling at me over the phone trying to force me into their boiler cover. They say they're from Scottish Power but the missed call message talks about 'me' like it’s from a person, really annoying how often they ring. I wouldn’t recommend buying their insurance cover either, they don’t cover the water filter and when they come round to sort the boiler, they just blame the filter and say you have to get another tech in first. Whenever my answerphone picks up, they just drop the call without saying anything. Weirdly, these calls began only after we contacted businesses to get quotes for a new gas boiler. On other lines they’d at least pick up, but it was always about pushing energy stuff like solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, and underfloor heating.

I receive these boiler cover calls every April without fail. This chap claimed to be from Scottish Power, but lo and behold, he eventually confessed to being part of a third-party company. I became quite exasperated with his continuous calls, especially since he insisted it wasn't a sales pitch while simultaneously trying to sell me a boiler cover plan! I've now escalated the matter and am awaiting a call back from a manager to discuss their training practices. I've received nine calls from this number, and it's clearly a marketing pest from Scottish Power. I've requested them to take my number off their calling list, and they assured me they'd comply. I'll hold off on filing an official complaint for now, but I'm watching closely. Best to ignore these calls if you can; they're quite bothersome!

Got a call from Scottish Power marketing. The number was saved but blocked, so I decided to ring back for a laugh. An automated voice said it was Scottish Power and if I wanted to stop the calls, I just needed to enter my full phone number followed by the hash key to be taken off their list. Now I’m waiting to see if they actually follow through. If they keep calling, I’m definitely going to report them to The Ombudsman for breaking the Data Protection rules.

Got a call from 0131 6205768 again at 2.41pm today, 23/04/18 - that makes it the third time now. Seems loads of people have been moaning about Scottish Power’s cold calls, like there’s a couple of pages full of complaints. Why isn’t anyone doing anything to stop these annoying calls?

Had another call from Scottish Power on 20/04/18 at about 7.45 pm. Saw that 0131 6205768 had tried to ring me just a couple of days before. Thought it was one of those sales calls, so I just ignored it. Seems like a lot of effort and cash goes into making these calls that most people just hang up on.

Called from 01316205768 at 12:49 on 18/04/18. My partner answered, but the other end just cut off straight away. We're already with Scottish Power, so I guess it was some sales pitch. We’ve got boiler cover sorted with a different company, so we wouldn’t be keen on whatever they were offering.

Scottish Power was on about some "amazing" deal for boiler cover, so I let them carry on chatting and asked a few questions. After about 5 minutes, I just said I already had cover with them and they quickly ended the call. Serves them right!

Scottish Power trying to sell me something again. I just end the call straight away! I'm ex directory and they already have my landline, but still decide to bother my mobile! Funny how when you need to complain, they're impossible to get hold of. What a bunch of muppets, they make cowboys look respectable!
