Then hit 1, wait some more, press 1 again to confirm, and once you hear the final message you can hang up.

Got a really annoying call from Scottish Power, pushing boiler insurance hard and honestly pretty rude about it. I’m already a customer and tried ringing to complain but all the numbers were just for renewals, direct debit stuff or account info, with never-ending automated options.
