I saw I missed a call earlier. Cheers to everyone sharing what happened to them!

This number 01315690035 keeps calling me pretty much every day, and I've noticed similar calls from numbers ending in 34, 26, 27, 28, 29, and possibly others as well. I never pick up, but they just leave it to ring on my answerphone. I've had to fill up my entire block list because of it! It's getting super frustrating and there's no doubt in my mind they're trying to scam people.

Just gave the number a ring for a bit of a laugh and got a message saying it’s been suspended. It had an American lady’s voice before I ended up blocking it.

Someone rang me about a D&G contract I supposedly had recently. I had actually called D&G a few days earlier, but I hadn’t agreed to any contract then. It felt really dodgy, and it’s a bit worrying that calls claiming to be from D&G don’t seem to be properly secure.

Got a scam call the other day. The person kept checking if I could hear them properly, and when I didn’t straight-up say “yes,” they just ended the call. These sorts of calls are trying to trap you into confirming something on record so they can trick you into buying stuff. Honestly, just make sure you never answer with a simple “yes.” Saying something like “I can hear you alright” should do the trick.

I've had this number ring me a few times but since I didn’t know who it was, I just let it go to voicemail. The message said something about chatting about home appliance insurance and that they’d try calling again.

Got a call from 0131569003413 at 15:05 on Jan 15. Since I’ve got Sky Talk Shield on my landline, anyone who rings has to say their name or who they are before it even reaches me. The phone rang after that, and I could choose whether to pick up or not. This number showed up in my call history, so I looked it up to see if anyone else had any stories about it. Seems like just another one to chuck on the blocked list.

This woman called saying her company insured household stuff like appliances and claimed I could protect everything for three years by paying £395, which supposedly would be cheaper. But when I probed a bit, her responses didn’t really add up. Plus, she insisted I pay over the phone. I reckon loads of people might fall for it and end up out of pocket.

This number 01315690034 has been ringing me nonstop about something to do with home appliance insurance. I haven’t picked up, but they leave messages on my voicemail saying they’ll ring back the next day. The voice sounds quite friendly, honestly, I feel like they should seriously consider a different career! It’s clearly a scam from what I gather, so I’m going to block the number.

Totally sketchy call, couldn't make out what the person was saying. Sounds like another dodgy foreign number trying to scam, as usual.

They keep ringing me! Left a message saying they’ll give me a bell again tomorrow!

As someone mentioned before, I’ll be reporting this too. Just a heads up, some of those ‘free’ call blocking services only let you block a certain amount of numbers before it stops working properly. Plus, scammers usually don’t stick with one number for long - they cycle through loads of fake numbers, generated by a little software they use. So it’s not really enough to just block the calls. Reporting these scam calls is really the way to go.

I get pestered by calls every single day. They always leave a voicemail, claiming they’ll try again tomorrow - and true to their word, they do! We never pick up, yet the incessant ringing is quite vexing. It feels like nothing short of harassment at this point.

01315690034 keeps ringing me up loads of times. Sometimes I ignore it, but when I do pick up, they leave a voicemail about my appliance contract ending, which is rubbish because I don't have any contract with them at all. I tried explaining that the first time I answered, but they just don't seem to care. It's really frustrating, and annoyingly, they often call about dinner time, probably 'cause they reckon people are at home then!

It was a female caller with an English accent.

Got a call from a bloke chatting about Home Insurance. When I asked where he was based, he said Brighton in the UK. Claimed some manufacturer told him to ring me up. When I pressed him about who this manufacturer was, he had no clue. Definitely sounded like a scam to me. Told him I’d pass his number to the police, and he just said “that’s not necessary” before hanging up. Bit of a shame, seemed quite polite - would be good if he found a proper job instead!

I got a call about renewing insurance for a fridge freezer and a washing machine, which made me suspicious straight away since I don’t have any insurance on those. When I asked if they could send me the info through the post, they said they couldn’t put all the options in writing, which doesn’t sound right and goes against what I know about FCA rules. I didn’t want to agree to anything on the call, and as soon as I refused, they just ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam to me.

So, this number rang me the other day, and a really nice lady was on the line offering some sort of discount on an appliance I supposedly owned - though she honestly had no idea what it actually was. That sounded a bit dodgy to me, so I played along and asked for the price. Then, I did the maths for the monthly payments and told her I’d rather save that cash myself every month in my own little pot. I said if anything ever broke or I needed a new appliance, I’d just use my savings. Been doing that for the past decade and it’s worked out just fine!

Caller claimed to be with Domestic Insurance and mentioned the stuff I have covered with Domestic and General. They offered a pretty good discount if I signed up with them. Then they asked me for my bank sort code and account number, which I refused to give. I told them I’d look up their phone number first. Turns out, the number is flagged everywhere as spam. Looks like some of Domestic & General’s customer info, like names, addresses, and insured items, might have been leaked - but thankfully not any bank details.

I got a call from this number about our insurance, and they mentioned that since we hadn’t made any claims on our policy, we were eligible for a discount on our premiums.

I got a call from Mark who wanted to chat about my kitchen gadgets and whether they've had any issues over the past year. When I questioned him about why he was ringing me and what he was actually trying to push, he seemed a bit lost and didn’t really answer. I hung up pretty sure it was some sort of scam.

I got a voicemail from a woman saying, "This is about your home appliance insurance, sorry I couldn't reach you, I'll ring again tomorrow." She didn't say which company she was from, plus I don't even have any insurance for my appliances!

They say they're Domestic and General but it's totally a scam. Just another number to add to my block list.

Got a call from someone named Ammy who spent ages chatting about my home appliance insurance. After a bit, she started asking for my bank info to set up a direct debit for renewing it. Thing is, I don’t even have that kind of insurance. Pretty clear they were fishing for my bank details. If you’re new to this, just hang up straight away. No need to be polite with these lot.

Got a really pushy caller rattling on about how our house needed urgent work and that it was way overdue. Had no clue what they were on about, so just ended the call.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Domestic Insurance. They somehow already knew my address and full name. They told me I’d been paying £96 a year through standing order for white goods cover for the last three years, which I definitely haven’t. Then they tried to get me to renew the cover with them. Felt really dodgy to me.

Beware of this fraudulent caller! It's best to steer clear of them entirely-just hang up or, even better, avoid any interaction!

I received a rather dodgy call where the chap identified himself as “Oliver, from Domestic Insurance…” and used an utterly wrong name for me. I ended the conversation right then and there. It was obvious that it was a scam. He’s now firmly on my blacklist!

This number has called me like 10 times already. I keep telling them I’m not interested in any home appliance insurance and asked them to take my number off their list. Yet, they just won’t stop ringing and it’s really frustrating and a waste of my time. No idea how to block their calls properly.

Got a call from some dodgy lot trying to get me to renew insurance for appliances I don’t even own. What a load of rubbish! Total scammers!

Left a message on my answering machine apologising for missing me and said they'd try ringing back tomorrow. Well, by then they’ll be blocked, no chance!

This number’s rang me a few times now. Pretty sure it’s some sort of dodgy home appliance insurance fraud. I just let it go to voicemail every time, and without fail, the message is always about “your home insurance policy” or something like that. Doesn’t bother blocking it though, they’ll just switch up the number anyway once you do that.

I got a call about home insurance, and I told them I wasn't interested. When they asked me to explain, I said it seemed like a scam to me. She just said okay, thanks for my time, and ended the call. It was all very polite, no nastiness at all. Honestly, she’s too nice for that sort of job and should be doing something else.

Got a cold call from some call centre trying to sell domestic appliance insurance. You could hear a bunch of other calls going on in the background, and there was this annoying pause before someone even spoke, like they were juggling loads of calls at once. Decided to just block the number straight away.

While I was away, my elderly mum answered the call. She usually just asks them to ring back once I’m back, which she did this time too. I used 1471 to check the number afterwards. Really happy this site is here to help us out! 😍

Business: Domestic Appliances Insurance Method: Called to say my insurance on appliances had run out and it’s time to renew, except I don’t actually own any. Time wasted: About 4 minutes of my day gone.

Got a call claiming it was about renewing our Domestic Appliance Insurance. They had the right phone details, but we've never actually had that insurance. Just a random cold call trying to get us to renew at a cheaper rate than last year's policy.
