Got a call on my landline from someone claiming to be Sky, saying my broadband speed was all wrong and there were errors. I told them I didn’t think it was really Sky since I’m not the account holder, my partner is. Plus, they never asked for a password or any kind of verification, which I know Sky always do. Seemed fishy to me.

Beware of this dodgy domestic appliance insurance con artist! I strongly recommend steering clear of sharing any of your banking information. These individuals are engaged in a shady scheme to fish for your financial details. Stay vigilant!

Got a ring from this number today. A woman wanted to talk to Miss F, but I told her there’s more than one Miss F here. I mentioned they were all out working and asked if she could leave a message. She hung up on me almost straight away. Feels like a dodgy call, probably best to just give it a miss.

Got a spam call from someone saying they were with Domestic Ins, but then insisted they had no connection to Domestic & General at all. Tried blocking the number, but they keep switching it up - first ending with 33, then 34, now 35. It’s like they won't stop!

At first, it all seemed legit - they were talking about a discount on a fresh insurance policy. But then they wanted me to confirm my bank info, which raised a red flag. When I questioned them, they couldn't provide my current policy number, brushing it off by saying it wasn’t needed for this “new” policy. Then they pushed for a single payment of £195 to cover three years, and once I said no, they got all defensive and dodgy. That’s when I just ended the call.

01315690035 has been ringing me quite often over the past few weeks. The thing is, I struggle with mobility and hearing, so I hardly get a chance to pick up before the call ends. The voicemail mentioned something about replacing domestic appliances, but I normally get those notices in the post, so I'm a bit unsure about these calls. For now, I'm marking the number as unknown until I figure out what’s really going on.

Got a call from someone claiming to offer insurance for household appliances. The info they had didn’t add up - the name and address were clearly fake and seemed lifted from other scammers. They asked me to provide my bank details, which immediately raised a red flag. I told them I knew they were trying to scam me. They sounded very professional and convincing, but glad I caught on before anyone more trusting fell for it. Definitely better that we get these crooks on the line than people who might end up losing money.

Some idiot rang me about some sort of home appliances or whatever. I told him straight, “I don’t have any of that stuff, stop botherin’ me.” Then he asks me why I’m so cross with him! I didn’t say it, but I could tell he was up to no good from the start. I told him, “Miss ***** struggles with understanding and can’t deal with your calls, so don’t ring back.” Then I just ended it. If he’d kept pushing or called right back, I would’ve warned him I’m on the Telephone Preference Service.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent about insurance for our home appliances. They had no clue about the gadgets we actually have and kept asking. We only use the manufacturer’s warranty anyway. Took forever to figure out the company name, which we didn’t recognise at all. Felt like a total scam to me. They said we’d been charged £200 yearly and offered to cut it down to £100 if we signed up again. We just ended the call. These sorts of calls are so annoying.

I got a call earlier from someone who introduced himself as Mason. He claimed it was regarding the insurance for my home appliances. When I mentioned that I wasn't covered, he insisted he had a policy right there and would send me the details. I replied that he was welcome to do so, but clearly, it wasn't happening since I don’t hold any insurance. It felt like yet another scam attempt. I've since blocked that number. I've also taken the precaution of blocking these other pesky numbers: 0135690032, 0135690006, 0135690027, and 0135690016, as they were up to similar tricks.

I keep getting these irritating automated calls from this number. It's quite frustrating, especially since I’m listed on the Telephone Preference Service, which is supposed to stop this sort of bother. I've lodged a complaint over at www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/marketing.aspx, so hopefully they'll take notice. Fingers crossed it leads to something!

I too received a call from this number, claiming I was due a refund. Absolute rubbish!

My eight-year-old picked up a call from this number - I promptly snatched the phone away to hear what was going on and attempted to hang up. However, when I dialled 1471 to check the number, I was greeted with a “thank you” as I hadn’t managed to disconnect them in time! Given the circumstances, it feels like they’ll persist in reaching out. How infuriating!

I received a rather peculiar voicemail from the number 0131 5690035, claiming that I was on the brink of running out of time for some kind of rebate. Honestly, for what exactly? I've got no idea. To add to the absurdity, if I suspect it's a wrong number, they suggested I press 5, presumably to let them know I'm willing to engage, which probably means I'll just end up getting another call from them. Quite the ridiculous waste of time, isn't it?

Bogus PPI claims, it seems. If you fancy sharing your thoughts on those pesky cold calls, silent ringings, and those annoying pre-recorded messages, you can ring back on 08005999359 and select options one and one.

I'm utterly fed up with these incessant calls! It's best to enable caller ID on your phone and simply ignore any numbers that you're not familiar with. It's just not worth the hassle!

It seems that their documentation suggests I've been duped into purchasing payment protection insurance at some point and may be eligible for a refund. What a load of nonsense!

Absolutely spot on! They just won’t let you off the hook, will they? The line stays live, and it’s rather irritating. The trick is to hit 5, bide your time until you’re connected to a real person, and then you can give them a piece of your mind until they get fed up and disconnect you themselves. It’s one of those pesky PPI cold callers, trying their luck!

I received a pre-recorded message claiming I'm eligible for a refund. Refund for what exactly? Who on earth is this? It's quite clear what’s going on - just another nuisance caller. It’s about time Ofcom took action against these pests. They ring up anyone and seem to have no regard for the Telephone Preference Service or any other regulations for that matter!
