So, first I got a call that just ended as soon as I answered, then another one from a different number right after and the same thing happened - they hung up immediately. I rarely check this site but decided to today and all those numbers popped up here, and the calls were all made recently. Definitely seems suspicious to me.

I received a call on my mobile at precisely 12:50 pm on the 17th of May. I opted not to pick up as I didn’t recognise the number. It's wise to exercise caution with calls from unfamiliar numbers, folks. If it’s someone legitimate who truly needs to get in touch, they will certainly leave a voicemail. To all the scammers, fraudsters, and opportunistic callers out there-I kindly ask you to just disappear! We really don’t want or need your interruptions. Best, A Medic.

So this charlatan called claiming to be from British Gas, said they wanted to renew my subscription - problem is, I’ve never been with British Gas! They kept pushing for info, probably trying to get a load of personal details. I told them straight up I knew it was a scam and ended the call. Seriously, best thing is not to get involved with these lot at all!

Got a call from someone saying they were with Just Eat, trying to take over our order pad to somehow get into our account and nick cash. They asked for the owner but had no clue about the name. We checked with Just Eat, and they never ring about order pads since they already have access. Definitely a scam.

I received a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who was rambling on about issues relating to damp and dry rot in the home. Received a call from 01292 703608. The caller had an Asian accent and there was quite a bit of racket in the background. They were trying to pull the classic scam about BT internet issues. When I kept him on the line for a good ten minutes, he became increasingly irritable, especially when I pretended to ask him to access my DIAL telephone. He actually believed DIAL was a legitimate company! Quite the laugh, really.

It felt like it had the makings of a spam call, but I tend to ignore those these days ever since the introduction of this new function on Android.

The connection was terrible, and he started rambling on about how all O2 customers are entitled to a whopping 40% discount on their mobile bills. When I pointed out that it sounded dodgy and mentioned that I’d already checked with O2, he suddenly cut the line. Very suspicious, if you ask me!
