I got a voicemail from some automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying I needed to ring back or else I’d be in big trouble. They left a number and told me to ask for agent Grey. When I rang the number on Sunday, it was an American lady's voicemail saying the number was out of service or something like that. It all felt really dodgy and not genuine at all.

Like some others have said, I got a scary voicemail that sounded like it was from HMRE. They said my lawyer needs to get in touch with them ASAP. They rang me three times, and twice of those calls came through Viber.

Got a recorded message saying it was from HMRC and I had to call them back or else there'd be legal trouble. Decided to check the number online and loads of folks mentioned it’s some sort of home appliances rip-off. Definitely don’t ring them back! Total scam, for sure.

I didn’t pick up at first, but then got a call from a mobile, 07870020555. A woman with an American accent introduced herself as Dennis Gray and warned me not to ignore the message or face “consequences.” Honestly, it was so ridiculous I just laughed it off. Not convinced for a second.
