So I got a call from 01280 474503, sounded like some scam from “HMRC” saying they’d sue me if I didn’t ring back. The lady had like a thick American accent which was kinda weird for HMRC. Definitely dodgy, don’t answer!

Just like the other calls I’ve gotten, this one was a recorded American woman warning about some legal trouble with taxes. Definitely a scam, but it’s worth reporting 'cause I can see how it might scare a few people.

today i got a call from 1280474503, but i didn’t answer 'cos i didn’t know the number. later I got a recorded msg saying I needed to call back and get a solicitor or there’d be serious consequences if i didn’t. honestly, it sounded proper dodgy and made me a bit anxious. just thought i’d warn anyone else not to call that number back - seems like a total scam to me. hope this heads-up saves someone else from stress!

I received a voicemail purportedly from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, warning me that if I didn't return their call or get in touch with my solicitor, I could be in a bit of trouble. Quite concerning, isn't it? 🤔

I've been contacted by someone claiming to be from HMRC, threatening me with repercussions should I fail to ring them back. Quite puzzlingly, they then wished me a lovely day afterwards. Feels very much like a dodgy scam to me!
