Missed a call earlier from this number I don’t recognise.

Had a chap ring me, claiming to be from the gas company. When I quizzed him on which one, he said British Gas. I happen to know they use 033 as their number. He then started waffling on about my boiler insurance being up for renewal, but that’s nonsense as it’s still well within the warranty period with them. I informed him I’d already sorted it, and just like that, he slammed the phone down. Quite rude, really!

Received an irritating phone call that was rather unpleasant and discourteous.

I got a call from 01273 762444 and picked up but kept quiet. There was silence from their side, no talking or noises apart from a beep, then after a few seconds they just hung up. Weird behaviour if you ask me!
