Missed a call earlier from this number I don’t recognise.

This guy called claiming to be from the gas company. I asked him to be more specific. He said British Gas. I know their numbers begin with 033, but this one didn’t. He tried telling me my boiler insurance needed renewing, but it really doesn’t as it’s still covered by the BG warranty. I told him it was already sorted, then he just hung up on me without a word.

I got a call from 01273 762444 and picked up but kept quiet. There was silence from their side, no talking or noises apart from a beep, then after a few seconds they just hung up. Weird behaviour if you ask me!
