Got a call from some woman claiming to be from a home service plan, saying my boiler warranty was about to run out on 15th September. She told me I could renew for £99 for a year or £199 for three years. I told her my son usually sorts this stuff and asked for a number to call back, but after a bit of waiting, the call just ended. The number on my phone was 01273762441, which isn’t an international code, so I reckon they’re redirecting the call somehow. Anyway, it’s a scam because I never had their cover in the first place.

She actually apologised for disturbing me! Watch out for these kinds of calls, they can be pretty annoying.

I got a call from someone claiming my boiler insurance expired last August and asked if I wanted to sign up again. I told them I'd never had insurance with their company and kept quiet about who I actually use. Feels dodgy, like a scam trying to get me to pay over the phone. They definitely had my name and where I live but had no clue about the price I usually pay! Tried throwing out a figure but it was miles off from my actual premium. Watch out for this sort of thing!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the "Services Department" regarding an issue with my boiler warranty renewal. When I questioned why their number appeared as a Brighton local, the guy insisted they were calling from "Brig-Ton." Felt off to me, like the number might’ve been faked.

Anyway, they definitely weren’t the company that actually looks after my boiler!

Just got a call like 5 mins ago, some guy who sounded like he wasn’t local, wanted to talk to my wife. Told him she’s not here, then asked what it was about, but he dodged the question and hung up. I’ve blocked the number now so they can’t call again.
