I had a chat with some chap named Adam from an appliance insurance company, though I can't quite remember which one it was. He mentioned they were set to renew my washing machine policy. Seeing as it's practically brand new, I didn't hold back and gave him a piece of my mind!

I received a rather unsettling call purportedly from the insurance division of Domestic & General, urging me to renew my policy with threats of cancellation if I didn’t comply. Upon expressing my belief that it was a scam, the tone of the caller took a rather hostile turn. I chose to terminate the conversation at that point. I’m genuinely alarmed that the caller had access to my address-information I never verified-nor did I disclose any details about which appliances are covered. I've taken the precaution of reporting this incident to Domestic & General for their awareness.
