Seems like those call centre scammers are making a comeback. I've been getting loads of calls from this number and others that look alike, so I've just blocked every one of them. It’s so annoying when you answer and no one’s actually there. Really frustrating. If more folks report these numbers, hopefully the law will catch up with them and shut them down. Definitely worth reporting whenever you get them.

Got calls from them three times. When I finally got the sales manager on the line, I explained I wasn’t going to share my card info - they seemed to think I was my mum, who’s 78. She kept pushing for my card details, and honestly if I was her, I might’ve handed them over. I said I’d give the info only if I could hang up and ring the number on the paperwork I have. She insisted she just needed the full card number. Told her I’d call back later. I’m really curious how she knew so much about us.

Received a call from this number earlier today-it’s a company based in Brighton peddling insurance for household appliances. They kicked off by claiming that my current coverage had lapsed. When I pressed them for my policy number, there was quite a bit of stuttering on their end. They were keen for me to sign up for a three-year plan at a supposedly reduced rate. I suggested they send over the documentation so I could mull it over, but was met with a rather dubious response saying I needed to cough up the cash first, and the policy would magically arrive within a week. Whether it's a scam or not remains to be seen, but it just feels like throwing money at some random outfit that dialled my number out of nowhere. You can do what you like, but I’m definitely not biting.

Received a rather dubious call from this number claiming to represent my washing machine warranty, promising that all parts and labour were included. The caller mentioned I hadn’t requested any service in the past year, which is quite misleading since I'd actually had someone out last year. When I quizzed them on the make of my appliance, they confidently declared it was a Bosch - but I own a Samsung! Just a word of caution, folks - steer clear of these tricksters!
