I recently updated my phone number due to an incessant barrage of prank calls. Lo and behold, the very next morning, I received a call from 01273 655155, with the caller requesting to speak to a Mr Philips about some supposed account problem. Mind you, my new number is supposed to be ex-directory! In a bid to handle the nuisance, I told the caller to hang on while I fetched Mr Philips.
