Got a call supposedly from the Home Appliances Guarantee team telling me the 3-year cover on my fridge freezer and washing machine was about to run out. Thing is, we never bought any such warranty. I reckon this was a pushy sales trick trying to get me to sign up on the spot for something we don’t even have. Would definitely recommend steering clear of this number.

They claimed to be affiliated with some sort of insurance provider and were probing me about whether I’d taken out insurance for my washing machine. Naturally, I was curious about how they had acquired my information, and right after I asked, the bloke just cut the line! Typical, isn’t it?
