Got a call today from a woman claiming to be from some Domestic Appliances company, saying she wanted to talk about my kitchen appliance insurance. I told her straight up I don’t have any insurance, but she insisted I did. When I asked which appliances, she said cooker and fridge. Didn’t have much patience as I hadn’t slept well last night. I mentioned my cooker’s well over a decade old and gave her a rather rude send-off. Seems like a typical scam to push fake insurance and get hold of banking info to clean out accounts. BT really need to block that number.

About 10 minutes ago I got a call about renewing insurance for my kitchen gadgets. I told them I already had a policy, and then she asked which company it was with. Curious, I asked who sent her to call me and she said it was because the manufacturer’s warranty ended after a year. When I asked her the brand of my appliances, she just hung up on me. Pretty clear it was a scam.

They were asking for a Mr Woltan, which isn’t even my surname, then just dropped the call. I checked who it was by dialling 1471. It’s really upsetting, especially since I have a learning disability and am new to the area. These scammers are awful people.

When I told the bloke I'd need to check with my bank first, he just hung up on me. it's the same rubbish every time, some scam trying to push kitchen stuff insurance or try nab your bank info. they always ring from the same part of England, normally some woman who sounds a bit thick and speaks with a slight accent that ain't English. sometimes it's a bloke, just as clueless. best to just hang up or give them a taste of their own medicine with rudeness, then disconnect. feels pretty good!

I saw a missed call from this number, and because I know some people living in Brighton, I thought I'd ring back. All I got was a weird noise down the line. After checking this site, I’ve decided to block it. Lately, I’ve been getting plenty of calls from 01273 numbers, and Call Guardian’s been catching most of them, so I’m starting to think they’re linked. Since my number is unlisted, it feels like a robo-dialler might be behind these calls.
