When I probed them about the specifics of what was covered, their tone shifted to quite aggressive. I calmly explained that I believed it was a scam, which clearly riled him up. When I pressed him on when I supposedly took out this cover, all he could do was insist it was expiring soon. He persisted in asking for my address and date of birth, which curiously enough, he already had without giving me any other details. I decided to cut the conversation short and hang up. I do wonder how many poor souls might fall for this trick.

SCAM ALERT - Avoid giving them any details! I got a call from someone saying they were from 'Domestic Appliances' regarding my repair insurance. They already had my name and address. I suspect I've stumbled upon a domestic insurance con. An English-accented lady abruptly disconnected the call as soon as she figured out I wasn't going to cooperate with her scheme.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from an appliance insurance company. I already have insurance, but the woman mentioned a different company name which raised a red flag. She sounded quite convincing though, giving me names, an address and phone numbers. She said I could get a big loyalty discount but first needed some personal info, starting with my bank sort code. I didn’t fall for it, told her to buzz off and blocked the number straight away.

They keep calling about some home appliances, and I've told them so many times to leave me alone. The annoying part is, they use different numbers, so blocking one doesn’t help. I got a call from someone with an Indian accent who claimed they were renewing my insurance for home appliances because it was about to expire. I asked why, since all my appliances are already covered under my main home insurance policy. After I questioned him, he just cut the call. But the moment she mentioned something about my "warranty," I knew it was one of those scam calls, so I just ended the call and blocked them straight away. Definitely the beginning of some kind of scam pitch.

We keep getting calls from different numbers about some home appliance insurance. Looks like the scammers have got hold of an old contact list from ages back and just won’t stop ringing. I never give out any info, but they just keep ringing anyway. It’s so ridiculous because the item they keep mentioning broke down ages ago. Got a call from some dodgy bloke with a foreign accent pretending to be my domestic insurance policy advisor. When I asked him what appliance he was talking about, he said 'kitchen appliances'. I asked him to be more specific and he said 'fridge freezer' and 'washing machine'. Then I asked which exactly was insured with me and he answered 'washing machine'. It was clear he was just rattling off common household items. Totally obvious that he was a scammer because I know exactly who covers my appliances, and it definitely isn't this idiot. Ended the call right away.

Another classic scam, if you ask me. Just received a call from some so-called domestic appliance insurance firm, insisting that my coverage is up for renewal and I’m apparently entitled to a discount. The thing is, I don’t even have any cover! I found myself on the line for about five minutes, trying to keep my composure instead of sending them packing. A quick search on Google revealed that the number isn’t blocked either. What a palaver!

I received a call from a firm identifying themselves as "Domestic Insurance." They asserted that I held an insurance policy with them, which simply isn't the case. When I probed for details such as their company name, address, or even the country from which they were contacting me, they steadfastly refused to provide any information. Clearly, this is a scam.
